The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has debunked claims that it plans to move its headquarters from Jos, assuring that the city remains its operational base.
In a statement, Head of Press and Public Relations, Thomas Ngor, said the agency’s attention was drawn to reports suggesting an alleged relocation. He stressed that no such move had been considered by the ITF’s management, governing council, or its supervising ministry — the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
Ngor explained that relocating a federal agency involves multiple formal processes, none of which had been initiated. He emphasised that the ITF is committed to fostering industrial and economic growth in Plateau State and across Nigeria, with Jos continuing as the central hub of its operations.
Highlighting the Fund’s deep historical ties to Plateau since its headquarters moved from Lagos in 1976, Ngor said the ITF values its socio-economic contributions to the state. He noted the agency remains open to dialogue with the state government and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, while urging the public to dismiss the relocation rumours as baseless.
