Kebbi Customs Records First Declaration on Indigenous B’ODOGWU Platform
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kebbi Area Command, has achieved a major breakthrough with the successful processing of its first declaration through B’ODOGWU, an indigenous digital platform developed by Customs officers in collaboration with concessionaires under the Trade Modernisation Project.
The milestone was recorded on Thursday, August 14, 2025, during a sensitization exercise on the platform conducted by ICT Modernisation Officers for officers and stakeholders of the command.
Speaking at the event, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller CC Nwokorie, expressed gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for his visionary leadership and support in driving innovation within the Service. He described B’ODOGWU as a “game-changer” that will enhance revenue generation and promote seamless trade facilitation across the country.
He urged officers, licensed agents, and other stakeholders to take the sensitization exercise seriously, stressing the importance of acquiring full knowledge of the platform’s features and applications for improved efficiency in Customs operations.
During the training session, licensed clearing agents and traders were guided on registration procedures and the effective use of the platform. In his remarks, the Chairman of the Nigeria Customs Licensed Agents (NCLA), Kebbi State Chapter, Alhaji Muhammad Nahali Kamba, applauded the Comptroller-General for the innovation and pledged the association’s full commitment to compliance with the platform’s guidelines.
The event ended with a group photograph and exchange of pleasantries, symbolizing the collective resolve of the Kebbi Command to embrace technology-driven solutions for improved service delivery.
