Numerous cities and capitals around the globe witnessed mass demonstrations, as people took to the streets on Saturday to condemn Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Thousands participated in demonstrations in cities including Paris, London, Madrid, Oslo, Amsterdam, Pristina, Tunis, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Bremen, Berlin, Milan, Aarhus, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Istanbul.

The demonstrators expressed support for the Palestinian people, called for an immediate ceasefire, and demanded the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

Carrying Palestinian flags, protesters banged pots and pans to raise awareness about the Israeli-imposed starvation in Gaza.

The crowds also demanded an end to international support for Israel’s oppression of Palestinians in Gaza and the Occupied West Bank.

Almost 10,000 Palestinians have been killed and 41,000 injured by the Israeli military since the regime shattered the 2-month ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on March 18, and renewed its assault on the besieged territory.

The total toll, since October 7, 2023, when Israel began its genocidal campaign in Gaza, exceeds 61,300, with 152,850 wounded.

Some 11,000 Palestinians are feared buried under the rubble of annihilated homes.

Experts, however, contend that the actual death toll significantly exceeds what the Gaza authorities have reported, estimating it could be around 200,000.

Israel stopped all aid deliveries to Gaza on March 2, after baselessly claiming that Hamas is “diverting aid” to justify its weaponization of food against its 2.3 million civilians.

Under international pressure for pushing the besieged territory to the verge of famine, at the end of May, Israel forced a new model of aid distribution led by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), backed by Israel and the United States, replacing traditional decades-old United Nations aid groups.

Since then, the UN says, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces while trying to reach food.

UN has repeatedly rejected the current aid distribution as inadequate, dangerous, and a violation of impartiality rules.

The shootings are now a daily occurrence, while starvation and malnutrition deaths continue to climb in the Gaza Strip.

In the past 24 hours, 11 new deaths from malnutrition and starvation have been recorded in Gaza, raising the total death toll due to famine since October 2023 to 212, which includes 98 children.

According to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), all regions of Gaza suffer from level 4 famine, which signifies a severe humanitarian crisis where a significant portion of the population experiences extreme food shortages and acute malnutrition.

Throughout the genocide, Israel has reduced most of the blockaded territory to ruins and practically displaced all of its population.

Last November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for the Israeli regime's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

The Israeli regime also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for its war crimes in the territory.

On Friday, Israel announced that its war cabinet had approved a plan to take over Gaza City, which immediately drew condemnation both domestically and internationally for worsening the dire humanitarian crisis in the coastal territory.
