Recently, Shettima participated in the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, where he represented Nigeria and presented the nation's investment opportunities to a global audience and investors’ attention to come to Nigeria for Foreign Direct Investment (FDR). Hence, FDR is the backbone of stronger economic growth and development anywhere around the world (both advanced and economic emerging nations).
Highlighting Nigeria's Potential:
To draw attention to Nigeria's economy, Vice President Shettima can emphasize the country's potential for growth and development. With Nigeria's economy showing signs of recovery, Shettima can showcase the government's efforts to create a favorable business environment, encourage foreign investment, and promote economic diversification. But more effort must be done on insecurity, infrastructure, energy and tax reforms.
