Ughelli, December 29, 2025 – Engr. Adasen Ejovi, Special Assistant (Technical) to the Delta State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), has commended Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his steadfast commitment to fulfilling campaign promises through massive infrastructural developments.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the palace of the Ovie of Arhavwarien Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, HRM King Solomon Akporhiere Onojeta Okukeren III, Engr. Adasen described the governor's performance as exemplary, highlighting ongoing major projects as tangible evidence of the administration's MORE Agenda—Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.
Adasen specifically praised the construction of five major flyovers and numerous road projects distributed equitably across Delta Central, Delta North, and Delta South senatorial districts, all under the direct supervision of Commissioner Comrade Reuben Rume Izeze. These include landmark flyovers in Warri/Effurun metropolis (PTI Junction, Enerhen Junction, and DSC Roundabout), as well as newly approved ones at Uromi Junction in Agbor and Otovwodo Junction in Ughelli.

"The governor has remained faithful to his promises, delivering world-class infrastructure that is transforming lives and boosting economic activities," Adasen stated, emphasizing that these projects demonstrate equitable development reaching every part of the state.
He also lauded the monarch's leadership, describing HRM Okukeren as a pillar of justice, fairness, peace, and unity whose reign has fostered harmony and progress in Arhavwarien Kingdom.
However, Adasen strongly condemned an alleged incident of political thuggery where a former senior political appointee from the previous administration reportedly vandalized a seasonal greetings banner erected in honor of Governor Oborevwori and Commissioner Izeze. Describing the act as "needless, reprehensible, and utterly unacceptable," he warned that politics must remain free from violence, intimidation, and destruction of property.
"The law does not respect personalities; it will take its full course against anyone found culpable," Adasen asserted, calling for calm and adherence to democratic principles.
In response, HRM King Solomon Okukeren expressed profound gratitude to Governor Oborevwori for his remarkable infrastructural strides, noting that the appointments of Comrade Izeze as Commissioner and Engr. Adasen as Special Assistant (Technical) have brought a strong sense of inclusion and representation to Arhavwarien Kingdom.
The monarch echoed the condemnation of the alleged vandalism, assuring that traditional institutions would implement preventive measures to curb such irresponsible acts and maintain peace.
King Okukeren appealed to the "project-driven governor" to prioritize the construction of a bridge linking Arhavwarien Island Kingdom to the mainland in Ughelli South LGA, describing it as critical for socio-economic growth, easier access to markets, healthcare, and education for residents.
This visit underscores the collaborative relationship between the Oborevwori administration and traditional rulers in advancing development while promoting peace. As Delta State continues its infrastructure revolution—with projects like the N230 billion package approved in 2025—the emphasis on inclusivity and zero tolerance for political violence remains central to the MORE Agenda.
