Ota, Ogun State, December 13, 2025 – Bishop David Oyedepo, the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners' Chapel), has emphatically ruled out any involvement in partisan politics, stating that even an offer of $1 billion would not sway him from his divine calling. The renowned cleric made these remarks during the impartation service on Day 5 of Shiloh 2025, the church's annual spiritual convocation, held at Faith Tabernacle in Canaanland, Ota.
Addressing thousands of worshippers in person and millions more via live broadcast, Oyedepo urged believers to remain steadfast in their God-given assignments rather than pursuing paths outside their purpose. "Partisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it’s off my course," he declared, emphasizing the importance of staying aligned with one's spiritual mandate to achieve true authority and impact.
Oyedepo reflected on a prophetic warning he issued to the church in 2015, rhetorically asking the congregation: "In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?" This reference underscored his belief in divine foresight and the need for spiritual preparedness amid national and global challenges.
Drawing from Scripture, the bishop highlighted the world's current state of crisis, quoting Romans 8:19: "The world is groaning in darkness, but the whole creation waits for the earnest manifestation of the sons of God." He proclaimed that committed believers positioned in their divine purpose would emerge as solutions to societal problems, likening them to biblical figures who influenced nations without holding political office.
"The army of God is about to emerge to proffer solutions to national crises in the order of Joseph and Daniel," Oyedepo prophesied. "It is the day of what eyes have not seen or ears heard." He encouraged the faithful to focus on spiritual empowerment, asserting that true influence comes from operating within one's calling, where individuals can "rule their world" and contribute to an end-time revival.
Shiloh 2025, themed "Breaking New Grounds," commenced on December 9 and is scheduled to conclude on December 14, 2025. The event has drawn participants from across Nigeria and internationally, featuring teachings, prayer sessions, specialized classes, and guest ministrations from prominent clerics such as Pastor Paul Enenche and Pastor David Ibiyeomie. Notable attendees include political figures, with Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori spotted participating in ushering duties, highlighting the church's emphasis on service regardless of status.
The annual convocation, a cornerstone of the Living Faith Church's calendar, is described as a mountain of divine encounters, salvation, healing, deliverance, and testimonies. This year's gathering focuses on supernatural breakthroughs, new beginnings, and fresh territories, aligning with Oyedepo's messages on spiritual resilience and divine solutions amid economic and security challenges facing Nigeria.
Oyedepo's stance on politics reinforces his long-held position as a faith leader focused on ministry rather than electoral ambitions. The Living Faith Church, founded in 1981, operates under a mandate to liberate humanity through the preaching of faith, with global branches and initiatives in education, humanitarian aid, and community development.
The impartation service, a highlight of Shiloh, involves prophetic declarations, anointing, and spiritual empowerment for participants. Live streams of the event are available on the church's official platforms, allowing widespread access.
As Shiloh 2025 progresses, Oyedepo's exhortations continue to inspire calls for spiritual focus over worldly distractions, positioning the church as a beacon for divine intervention in turbulent times.
