House Oversight Committee Releases Disturbing New Images and Videos from Jeffrey Epstein’s Private Island “Little St. James”

Washington, D.C. – December 4, 2025 – Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee have made public a large collection of previously unreleased photographs and videos taken inside and around Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous private island, Little St. James in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The material, captured in 2020 more than a year after Epstein’s death in federal custody, provides the most detailed visual record yet of the secluded compound where federal prosecutors and multiple survivors say Epstein systematically sexually abused and trafficked dozens of underage girls and young women.

The images were obtained through an official request to the Attorney General of the U.S. Virgin Islands as part of the committee’s ongoing investigation into Epstein’s operations and the federal government’s handling of his cases.

The released files include more than 200 still photographs and several wide-angle video walkthroughs. Many of the interior shots show rooms in a state of disarray: furniture pushed against walls, artwork removed, personal belongings boxed up as though the property was being prepared for long-term storage or sale after Epstein’s death.

Among the most striking details:

  1. A wall-mounted landline telephone with speed-dial buttons labeled with men’s first names including “Darren,” “Rich,” “Mike,” “Patrick,” and “Larry.” Some labels are partially redacted; committee staff explained that any names appearing to belong to women were blacked out to protect possible victims.
  2. A peculiar room resembling a private dental office, complete with a mustard-yellow reclining chair under bright adjustable lights and walls lined with white theatrical masks depicting male faces.
  3. A blackboard covered in fragmented chalk writings such as “power,” “deception,” “truth,” “plots,” “political,” “music,” and “time,” with portions redacted.
  4. Bedrooms, massage rooms, marble bathrooms overflowing with luxury toiletries, and living areas with scattered framed photos, including one showing Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell with Pope John Paul II.

Exterior footage sweeps across manicured courtyards, oceanside walking paths, an infinity pool, and a large statue of an archer standing near the water’s edge, reinforcing survivor and court descriptions of an ultra-private, resort-like environment accessible only by boat or helicopter.

Committee Democrats stated the release was intended to promote public transparency and to help Americans better understand the isolated, luxurious setting in which Epstein and his associates are accused of committing widespread sexual abuse. A larger batch of images and videos was circulated to press outlets shortly afterward, providing additional angles of the same rooms and grounds.

Epstein purchased Little St. James in 1998 and later acquired neighboring Great St. James, spending tens of millions of dollars to turn the properties into exclusive retreats shielded from outside scrutiny. Court documents, survivor testimony, and a 2020 civil enforcement action by the U.S. Virgin Islands government allege that dozens of minors and young women were flown to the islands, held against their will, and sexually assaulted or coerced into acts with Epstein and powerful guests.

Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent survivors (who died by suicide earlier this year), described in her memoir being violently assaulted on the island at age 18 by a man she identified only as a well-known prime minister, writing that Epstein had trafficked her to him. The U.S. Virgin Islands ultimately secured a settlement exceeding $105 million from Epstein’s estate in 2022, and both islands were sold in 2023 to financier Stephen Deckoff for $60 million, with proceeds partly directed to victim compensation and local recovery efforts.

Congressional interest has not ended with the islands’ sale. The House Oversight Committee continues to pursue financial records, emails, corporate filings, and other materials connected to Epstein’s network. Thousands of banking records have already been produced under subpoena by JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank, with additional tranches expected.

Lawmakers have also sought testimony from numerous individuals linked to Epstein. Ghislaine Maxwell’s attorneys have stated she will invoke her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination if called. The committee has formally demanded closed-door depositions from former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as several former attorneys general and FBI directors who oversaw aspects of the Epstein investigations.

A newly enacted bipartisan law requires the Department of Justice to publish all federal Epstein-related records in a searchable, public database by mid-December 2025, though the only permitted redactions being those necessary to protect victim identities, child sexual abuse material, or active investigations.

While the newly released island photographs and videos do not contain direct evidence of specific crimes or identify additional perpetrators, they provide the clearest visual documentation to date of the environment survivors have described for years: an opulent, utterly private domain where, according to court filings, Jeffrey Epstein believed he could operate without consequence.

As one committee statement put it, the images “offer a disturbing look into the world Jeffrey Epstein built—an isolated paradise that hid horrific abuse.” For the survivors and the investigators still seeking full accountability, these pictures are another step toward ensuring that world is never forgotten, and never repeated.
