A distinguished career administrator and retired Permanent Secretary, Sir Ukpedor devoted his most productive years to the service of government with diligence and honour. In an era when public office was defined by discipline and accountability, he embodied the finest traditions of the civil service, professionalism, loyalty, and an unwavering sense of duty. His administrative legacy remains a reference point for younger officers who continue to draw inspiration from his example.
Beyond the corridors of government, Sir Ukpedor has always been a worker in God’s vineyard. His faith is not worn as a badge but lived out through service, humility, and compassion. Through church work and personal mentorship, he has touched lives quietly yet profoundly, offering guidance, prayers, and support to many who sought counsel and encouragement.

As former Chairman of the Emevor Progress Union (EPU), Asaba Branch, Sir Simeon Ukpedor played a unifying role, strengthening bonds among Emevor sons and daughters resident in the Delta State capital. As a proud and generous host of the Emevor people in Asaba, his home became a place of welcome, dialogue, and shared identity, reflecting his deep love for his roots and his people.
A proud old boy of the prestigious Edo College, Benin City, Sir Ukpedor’s formative years laid the foundation for a life defined by discipline, excellence, and lifelong learning. These values have remained evident throughout his journey and have been passed on to the next generation through his example.
At home, he is an amazing father and grandfather, whose guidance, discipline, and affection have shaped his family. His children and those who look up to him speak of a man whose wisdom is matched by kindness, and whose authority is tempered with grace.
As Sir Simeon Edafe Ukpedor marks his 78th birthday, it is fitting to celebrate a life richly spent in service to God and humanity. He was joined in celebration at the Government House Chapel, Asaba, where he fellowships every morning, by His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Chief Monday Onyeme, FCA, other top government functionaries, family members and well-wishers.
His story is one of quiet strength, enduring faith, and selfless leadership, a reminder that true greatness lies not in noise or spectacle, but in consistent service and lasting impact.
