Asaba, Delta State – January 5, 2026 – Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has warmly congratulated renowned businessman and philanthropist, Chief (Engr.) Dr. Daniel Elozino Omoyibo, on attaining the milestone age of 57. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DANMOTECH Nigeria Limited, popularly known as "DANMOTECH," was hailed as a compassionate industrialist whose contributions have profoundly impacted lives across Delta State and beyond.
In a heartfelt goodwill message released through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori described the celebrant as a dear brother and friend whose entrepreneurial spirit and generosity exemplify the best of Delta's sons.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the good people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate my dear brother and friend, Chief Dr. Daniel Omoyibo, on the celebration of his 57th birthday,” the Governor stated.
Born in 1969 in the historic town of Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, Chief Omoyibo's journey from humble beginnings to becoming a titan in Nigeria's business landscape is a testament to resilience and vision. Named "Elozino" – meaning "Light has come to our family" – by his spiritually inclined father, he grew up in a modest household facing resource constraints. Yet, this background fueled his determination to succeed and give back.
An accomplished engineer, Omoyibo founded DANMOTECH Nigeria Limited (often stylized as Damotech) in the early 2000s as an indigenous oil and gas servicing company. Under his astute leadership, the firm has evolved into a diversified conglomerate with over eight subsidiaries spanning oil and gas, construction, hospitality, and technology sectors. DANMOTECH specializes in efficient servicing of the oil and gas industry in the Niger Delta's south-south region, delivering responsive solutions and pioneering opportunities. His ventures have created thousands of direct and indirect jobs, boosting economic growth and empowering Deltans to harness their talents for sustainable livelihoods.
Governor Oborevwori particularly commended Omoyibo's strategic investments in oil and gas and hospitality, noting their role in wealth generation and youth employment. A flagship project is the luxurious Dantinajo Gold Resort in Oleh, a 118-bedroom exotic hotel commissioned by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. This facility has transformed Oleh into a hub for tourism, attracting expatriates, Nollywood stars, and high-profile visitors, thereby placing the community on the global map.
Beyond business, Chief Omoyibo's philanthropy stands out as a defining legacy. Known for his selflessness, he has touched countless lives through the Damotech Foundation and personal initiatives. His acts of benevolence include distributing over 85 cars to staff and community members, empowering hundreds with entrepreneurial training and startup grants, building homes for widows and vulnerable families, covering medical bills, and supporting education. In one remarkable gesture, he gifted a higher-spec vehicle to a traditional ruler after a similar one was overlooked by the state.
Omoyibo's passion for the arts, particularly Nollywood, is legendary. As Patron of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), he has provided substantial financial support, sponsored training for young filmmakers, and planned a Film Village in Oleh on vast acres of land. His love for cinema stems from a desire to leave a cultural legacy, enabling Nigerians to tell their stories professionally on the world stage.
The Governor lauded these efforts, stating: “As a people and as a government, we deeply appreciate your selflessness and enduring commitment to humanity. Your goodwill and benevolence have endeared you to many and strengthened social cohesion in our communities.”
Chief Omoyibo's influence extends across Isoko Nation and Delta State, earning him titles like Omoghagha 1 of Oleh Kingdom and numerous awards, including the Independent Newspaper's Philanthropist of the Year for Community Empowerment and recognitions from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) as an Icon of Enterprise and Humanitarian Service.
In his prayer, Governor Oborevwori added: “It is my earnest prayer that God grants you many more years in good health, greater accomplishments, and renewed strength as you continue to uplift humanity and contribute meaningfully to societal progress.”
This felicitation echoes similar praises in previous years, underscoring Omoyibo's consistent impact. As Delta State advances under the MORE Agenda, leaders like Chief Omoyibo embody the spirit of inclusive growth and community development that Governor Oborevwori champions.
The 57th birthday celebration comes amid widespread admiration from political leaders, traditional rulers, and citizens. Representatives like Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko have previously saluted his commitment to Isoko development, while groups such as the Isoko-North Progressives Like-Minds hail him as a tireless advocate.
In a region rich with potential, Chief Dr. Daniel Omoyibo's story inspires the next generation: from humble roots in Oleh to illuminating paths for others through business acumen and a heart for service. As he marks this milestone, prayers abound for continued divine favor, robust health, and expanded influence in uplifting Delta State and Nigeria at large.
