Three brothers, including two of New York’s most prominent luxury real estate brokers, were found guilty of sex trafficking and related charges on Monday, March 9, 2026, following a five-week federal trial in Manhattan.
The jury convicted twins Oren Alexander (38) and Alon Alexander (38), along with their older brother Tal Alexander (39), after hearing testimony from 11 women who accused them of using drugs, deception, and force to sexually assault numerous victims over more than a decade. Prosecutors stated that more than 60 women have come forward with similar allegations against one or more of the brothers.
The case centered on a pattern in which the brothers allegedly leveraged their wealth, status, and extravagant lifestyle to lure women to exclusive locations — including the Hamptons, Aspen ski trips, Caribbean cruises, and high-end parties in Manhattan — where they were then drugged and assaulted.
Many victims testified that they believed they had been spiked after consuming minimal amounts of alcohol, describing sudden loss of bodily control, blackouts, and waking up to assaults. Prosecutors presented text messages and emails in which the brothers allegedly discussed using drugs to lower women’s inhibitions, sneaking substances onto cruise ships, and sharing images or recordings of victims.
One woman testified she was raped by Alon Alexander in Aspen in 2017 when she was 17 years old and is the daughter of a billionaire. “I don’t want their money. I just don’t want them to have it,” she told the jury.
Brooklyn artist and gallery owner Lindsey Acree, now 40, described being raped by Tal Alexander and another man at a Hamptons home in 2011 after becoming disoriented from less than half a glass of wine. She filed a lawsuit last year, stating: “If there’s a kid with a stick who keeps hitting people, you take their stick away. Money is their stick, so you take it away so they can’t hurt people anymore.”
Another accuser said she first met the brothers at a 2012 party at actor Zac Efron’s Manhattan apartment (Efron has not been accused of any wrongdoing). She testified waking up naked with Alon Alexander standing over her.
Defense attorneys acknowledged the brothers’ reputations as womanizers but insisted all encounters were consensual. They argued that accusers had unreliable memories or were motivated by financial gain. Prosecutors countered that only two accusers filed civil suits — both already wealthy — and rejected claims of financial motivation.
Before the case, Oren and Tal Alexander were top-producing brokers at Douglas Elliman, later founding their own luxury firm, Official. Alon Alexander worked in the family’s private security business.
The criminal convictions come amid approximately two dozen civil lawsuits. One notable plaintiff is Tracy Tutor, star of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,” who alleges Oren Alexander drugged and assaulted her in a restaurant bathroom during a New York real estate event.
As allegations became public, more women came forward, describing the brothers’ behavior as an open secret within the high-end real estate industry.
The guilty verdict follows jury deliberations that began last Thursday. Sentencing is expected at a later date, with the brothers facing significant prison time given the severity and number of charges.
The case has sent shockwaves through New York’s luxury real estate and nightlife circles, raising questions about power dynamics, accountability, and the culture surrounding wealth and influence in elite social and professional environments.
