Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to elder statesman and former Chairman of the Transition Committee of Okpe Local Government, Chief Joseph Asini, as he marks his 88th birth anniversary on Sunday, March 15.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, the governor praised Chief Asini for his remarkable contributions to the growth and development of Okpe Kingdom and Delta State.
Governor Oborevwori commended Chief Asini for his wisdom, steadfast leadership and consistent guidance to the people of Okpe, noting that his support and commitment have continued to contribute positively to the success of the present administration.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate our father and leader, Okakuro Joseph Asini, the Oghweibor of Okpe Kingdom, on the occasion of his 88th birth anniversary,” the governor said.
He noted that the 88th birth anniversary milestone provided an opportunity to celebrate a life devoted to selfless service, leadership and community development.
“It is my pleasure to join your family, friends and well-wishers in thanking Almighty God for His grace, protection and sustenance over your life in the past 88 years.
“I pray that God will continue to illuminate your path, grant you good health and renewed strength as you continue to render invaluable service to God, humanity and the people of Okpe Kingdom,” Oborevwori added.
