President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang as he marks his 61st birthday on Thursday, March 12.
In a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised the governor for providing responsible leadership that has helped stabilize Plateau State.
The President described Mutfwang, a lawyer and politician, as a leader whose efforts have contributed to restoring peace and progress in the state, gradually returning it to its reputation as the “Home of Peace and Tourism.”
According to the statement, President Tinubu acknowledged the governor’s achievements in several key areas, including security, rural infrastructure development, healthcare, and education.
The President also commended Mutfwang for initiatives aimed at revitalising the state’s economy, particularly through the establishment of agro-logistics hubs designed to boost agricultural productivity and improve food distribution networks.
Tinubu further applauded the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance and his efforts to promote peaceful coexistence among the diverse communities in the state. He described these initiatives as proactive steps toward strengthening the state’s security framework.
The President also noted the governor’s decision to inaugurate a 14-member State Advisory Committee on State Police, in line with the Federal Government’s directive for states to begin processes toward the establishment of state policing structures.
“As the governor celebrates this special occasion, the President wishes him good health and strength as he continues his good work in the state,” the statement added.
