The President of the Isoko National Youth Assembly (INYA), , has intensified grassroots political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, rallying support for President , Delta State Governor , and the Isoko North State Constituency ambition of Engr .
Orogun made the call on Sunday during a community engagement held at the Emevor Civic Centre, organised in collaboration with the Eniwake Leadership Alliance. The event drew a large gathering of stakeholders, including community leaders, women groups, and youths, reflecting growing political activities within the constituency.
Addressing participants, Orogun urged residents of Emevor and the wider Isoko North area to align with what he described as credible and people-focused leadership at both the state and federal levels. He emphasized the importance of continuity and grassroots representation, particularly as preparations for the 2027 elections gradually intensify.
In his remarks, Orogun commended Ashakah for his contributions to the development of Isoko land, noting that his impact has been evident despite not holding any elective public office. According to him, Ashakah’s accessibility and commitment to community development distinguish him as a strong and credible candidate for the Delta State House of Assembly.
He pointed out that Ashakah’s close relationship with the people positions him to attract meaningful development projects if elected, adding that leadership should be rooted in service and community engagement.
Orogun also highlighted Ashakah’s role in facilitating educational opportunities for young people in the area through the Presidential Amnesty Programme. He revealed that more than 200 youths from Emevor and surrounding communities are currently benefiting from scholarships under the initiative.
“These are tangible impacts made without occupying public office,” Orogun said, urging the community to reward what he described as proven commitment with electoral support in 2027.
Beyond the state constituency race, the INYA President called on residents to support President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori for a second term in office. He praised the governor for ongoing infrastructural development in the area, particularly the Emevor-Orogun Road project.
According to him, the completion of Phase One of the road and ongoing work on Phase Two have significantly improved access and mobility for residents, describing the project as long overdue and a major relief for the community.
In a goodwill message, the President-General of the Emevor Progress Union, , reaffirmed his support for Ashakah’s ambition. He stressed the importance of unity within the community and urged residents to rally behind a candidate from within.
“I stand firm in my resolve for the Orobosa Ashakah mandate. I will not abandon an Emevor son to support an outsider,” he said.
Erezih, who also serves as Executive Assistant to the Governor on Beautification, acknowledged Ashakah’s contributions to leadership development within the community. He noted that the aspirant has played a mentoring role to several emerging leaders, including Orogun.
He further expressed appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for ongoing infrastructure projects, particularly the Emevor-Orogun Road, stating that the development has significantly improved the living conditions of residents and enhanced economic activities in the area.
According to him, the governor’s performance has earned widespread support within the community, positioning him strongly ahead of the 2027 elections.
Other speakers at the event echoed similar sentiments, reinforcing the call for unity and collective political action. Among them were Chief Emmanuel Erhire, Hon. Chief Sylvester Ifode, community chairman Chief Lucky Okeremu, Supervisory Councillor for Finance Mr Isaiah Ogunye, and Youth Leader Comrade Samuel Ohwoka.
The speakers described Ashakah as a capable and people-oriented leader, expressing confidence in his ability to represent the constituency effectively if elected. They also assured that the Emevor community would mobilise massive support for candidates of the (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
The event concluded with a collective endorsement of Ashakah’s aspiration and renewed commitment by stakeholders to strengthen grassroots mobilisation across the constituency. Participants pledged to work together to ensure electoral success for the party’s candidates at all levels.
Political observers note that the gathering reflects early campaign activities and strategic positioning by political actors seeking to build alliances and secure support ahead of the next election cycle.
