The APC leadership described the NWC as the “engine of the party,” responsible for coordinating activities across all regions and ensuring effective communication between the national headquarters and state chapters. Party officials also highlighted the importance of maintaining internal democracy, fostering youth participation, and promoting inclusiveness in decision-making processes.
Political analysts view the completion of the NWC election and the issuance of certificates as a strategic move to stabilize the party ahead of future elections. The assembly of both returning and new members is expected to inject fresh energy and ideas into the party’s operations while maintaining continuity in its leadership structure.
In her remarks during the presentation, the APC National Secretary underscored the significance of working collaboratively to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence and implement policies that reflect the party’s manifesto. She emphasized that the NWC members have a responsibility to maintain party discipline, uphold ethical standards, and drive political engagement across all constituencies.
The newly elected committee members are expected to play a critical role in coordinating national campaigns, monitoring state-level activities, and ensuring that APC policies are effectively communicated to party members and the general public. Their duties will also include mobilizing support among youths, women, and other key stakeholder groups to consolidate APC’s political influence across the country.
The issuance of Certificates of Return also signals the formal conclusion of internal electoral processes within the APC, allowing the party to shift focus to broader political strategies, coalition-building, and preparation for upcoming legislative and executive elections.
By officially recognizing the NWC members, the APC aims to foster unity and cohesion among party leaders, reinforcing its position as one of Nigeria’s dominant political forces. The ceremony in Abuja was therefore described by party officials as a milestone in advancing organizational stability and ensuring a seamless transition into the next phase of political engagement.
With the new NWC now formally in place, the APC leadership has expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to provide effective oversight, implement strategic initiatives, and maintain the party’s prominence at both national and regional levels.
The presentation of Certificates of Return underscores the party’s commitment to institutional processes, transparency, and strengthening democratic practices within its ranks, setting the stage for a coordinated approach to governance and political mobilization.
