Uvwie, Delta State - Hon. Henry Baro, Uvwie-born politician and widely regarded as the Asiwaju of Delta State, has joined the good people of Delta Central in congratulating Olorogun Sen. Ede Dafinone on his resounding victory in the Senatorial Direct Primary held on Monday, May 18.
In an interview, Baro described the outcome as a clear verdict on consistent service and a reaffirmation of leadership that stays close to the people. He said the result reflects an unwavering commitment to the good people of Delta Central and to the Urhobo Nation at large.
“This is not a win built on noise, but on notable work,” Baro stated. “Senator Dafinone has earned the trust of the people by showing up, speaking up, and standing up for the district when it matters most. His voice in the Red Chambers has been steady, sensible, and solutions-driven.”
The Asiwaju of Delta State pledged his unalloyed and continuous support for His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, alongside all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections. He stressed that aligning behind proven leadership is the surest path to consolidating the gains of the Renewed Hope and MORE Agenda across Delta State.
Baro called on party stakeholders and grassroots mobilizers to keep their eyes on the prize, close ranks, and focus on building bridges that bring development to every ward and community. He emphasized that unity today is the foundation for victory tomorrow.
