Dr Edewor Omonemu, a prominent leader of Olomu Ward II in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, has assured the All Progressives Congress (APC) of total victory in the ward in the 2027 general elections.
Omonemu gave the assurance when he received the APC candidate for Ughelli South Constituency II, Hon. Dr Ricardo Oghenero Oguma, at his residence in Ughelli.
Oguma, who visited the party chieftain to seek his blessings and support ahead of the elections, described Omonemu as a father figure and a key leader whose backing was vital to his political aspiration.
“Daddy, I have come to receive prayers and support. You are like a father to me and our leader in Olomu Ward II. I cannot move without your blessing. I am fully in the race, and I need your prayers as we work to deliver APC 5/5 in Olomu Ward II and Ughelli South,” he said.
Responding, Omonemu prayed for Oguma and pledged his full support, expressing confidence in his political prospects.
He urged God to grant the APC candidate the wisdom and grace to perform creditably if elected, noting that effective representation would be crucial to sustaining his political growth and securing a second term.
“I have received you, my younger brother Ricardo, and I bless you. You have my prayers and full support. Go and win,” Omonemu said.
He assured the candidate that APC leaders and supporters in Olomu Ward II were already mobilising for the elections, with canvassers reaching out to voters across the ward.
“Olomu Ward II will deliver APC 5/5 — President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the Senate, the House of Representatives and you, Ricardo, for Constituency II.
“We are already on the ground. Our canvassers are moving from door to door in Units 06, 07, 08, 17 and across Olomu. Victory is sure,” he declared.
Omonemu also commended fellow ward leaders, Chief John Ewenede (JP) and Chief Hon. Friday Ijomone (JP), for their contributions to strengthening the party, describing the unity among APC stakeholders in the ward as a major asset ahead of the elections.
The meeting was attended by former councillors Hon. Engr. Wisdom Umolo, Hon. Awhotu Otidi and Hon. Ojiyovwi Targa; the LGA Woman Leader, Madam Vivian Edegware; former Youth Leader, Jefe Otidi; Civilian Dada; the Vice President of Ovwodokpokpor-Olomu; and other party stakeholders and members of the Ricardo campaign team.
The meeting formed part of ongoing grassroots mobilisation by APC leaders and supporters in Olomu Ward II ahead of the 2027 general elections.
