The Lord heals

Immediately after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, many wonders and miracles were done through the Apostles. In the bible scripture in Acts chapter 3, a vivid account of the healing of a man who was born lame was given. When the man saw Peter and John going into the temple, he fixed his eyes on them; expecting to get something from them. He must have been disappointed when Peter announced that they had neither gold nor silver. However, they had something more precious – the healing grace of God. Peter gave out the command saying “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth; rise up and walk.” He took him by the right hand and lifted him up, immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
Furthermore, the lame man was healed by the invocation of the Name of Jesus Christ. The use of another person’s name to declare legal rights is called, “The Power of Attorney”. It is this privilege and power that Jesus has granted all believers. This is the secret of power with God and of all Divine Miracles – faith in the Author of life, Jesus Christ. There is power in the Name of Jesus. 
It is in this light therefore that I will say that many are still healed today through the wonderful and marvelous name of Jesus Christ. Are you sick? Jesus can make you whole because He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
