President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Super Falcons following their hard-fought 2-1 victory over South Africa in the semi-finals of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), urging them to stay focused and “bring the trophy home.” 



Tinubu Praises the Team’s Spirit

Describing the win as “nothing short of superlative,” Tinubu lauded the team’s courage, talent, and resilience, calling their performance a reflection of the “indomitable Nigerian spirit.”

“Well deserved! Congratulations to our Super Falcons! Your incredible #WAFCON2024 semi-finals victory over South Africa today was nothing short of superlative. You have made the nation proud. Keep soaring. Don’t stop until you bring the trophy home. Go for our 10th title,” Tinubu stated.

The President assured the team of unwavering support from Nigerians worldwide, expressing confidence in their ability to win the record-extending 10th WAFCON title.

Final Showdown Against Morocco

The Super Falcons will now face Morocco in the final as they aim to reclaim the continental crown and extend their dominance as the most successful team in WAFCON history.
