Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR) has donated a 300KV transformer to the Bare community in Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State, aiming to restore electricity following widespread vandalism of power infrastructure.
Speaking during the commissioning of the Pages of Hope Library in Bare, General Manager of Operations, Alhaji Bello Danmusa, said the donation reflects the company’s commitment to improving lives in its host communities through sustainable development initiatives.
The transformer will be installed alongside the repair and reconnection of damaged electric wires and utility poles that were affected by recent acts of vandalism. Danmusa noted that the restoration of power is expected to enhance educational activities in the newly inaugurated library, which was established by the Dr Lee Foundation to support underserved children.
“We are committed to strengthening local economies, improving infrastructure, and advancing community development where we operate,” Danmusa stated.
Located in the southern senatorial zone of Adamawa, DSR’s operations span across five local government areas, with ongoing corporate social responsibility projects in education, infrastructure, and welfare.
Danmusa emphasized that the latest intervention is one of several efforts aimed at fostering long-term impact and partnership with surrounding communities.
