Over 1,500 customers to receive N290m from MTN

 Over 1,500 MTN Nigeria customers are set to share in the N290 million prize pool of the ongoing MTN Mega Billion Promo.

The telecommunications company made the announcement at a live event in Lagos.



Speaking at the event, MTN’s Chief Marketing Officer Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka stated that the Mega Billion Promo was designed to reward loyal customers.

“In the last couple of years, it’s been a very tough time for the average Nigerian. As a company committed to making our customers’ lives better, we constantly look for ways to do this. This Mega Billion promo is one such initiative,” she explained.

Ikenna-Emeka disclosed that the promo has already produced more than 1,500 winners, including three jackpot winners, 20 winners of N5 million each, and over 100 winners of N100,000, with more than N290 million distributed to date.

“We are extremely delighted and proud of the excitement and engagement generated by this promo. Being here today is proof of the progress we’ve made,” she added.

Explaining how the promo works, Senior Manager, Consumer Segment (Mass Market), Debo Agun, clarified that participation does not require customers to make extra payments. 

“All that is required of you as a customer is to dial *900# to opt in, which also serves as your consent. The promo runs for a period of 90 days,” he said.

Agun revealed that 63 winners are selected daily from Monday to Friday, with daily and weekly draws held. Daily prizes range from N25,000 to N5 million, while Saturdays feature 104 winners, including a jackpot of N10 million.

Other cash prizes on Saturdays include N25,000, N50,000, N75,000, N100,000, N500,000, N1 million, and N2 million. All winnings are credited directly to recipients’ MoMo wallets. To receive winnings, participants must have a MoMo account, which can be opened by dialling *671#.

Every N100 airtime recharge equals one entry; for example, a N500 recharge counts as five entries. Customers are allowed to win multiple times. “It’s not a one-off win,” said Agun. “You could win N500,000 today and N1 million or N5 million in another draw.”
