Nnewi, Anambra State – Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, have joined forces with other prominent political figures to rally support for Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu ahead of the forthcoming Anambra South Senatorial election.
Massive crowds thronged the campaign events held at Nnewi Triangle and the Aguata Local Government Headquarters, where supporters, community leaders, and APGA stalwarts endorsed Nwachukwu’s candidacy.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo described Chief Nwachukwu as a leader with deep community roots and a clear vision for development.
“Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu embodies the qualities we need in leadership,” Soludo said. “Nnewi South and Ihiala have never produced a senator for the region. Just as Nnewi South supported the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, it is time to reciprocate by supporting Nnewi South. Show your support by voting massively for Chief Nwachukwu.”
The Governor stressed that Anambra remains APGA territory and pledged that the upcoming election would be transparent, open, and credible. He described APGA as a people’s movement committed to reclaiming its position in the region.
Other speakers included Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu; Mayor of Nnewi North, Mr. Echezona Azodo; State House of Assembly member for Nnewi North, Mr. Ikedi Orji; APGA State Chairman, Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye; Dr. Chibuike Offorbike; Tony Muobike; Barr. Sylvia Ifemeje; Chief Titus Anagbogu; and Engr. Dom Okafor. They all echoed the Governor’s call for unity and massive voter turnout.
Visibly moved by the groundswell of support, Chief Nwachukwu thanked the people and promised to prioritise their needs if elected. The rally also observed a minute’s silence in honour of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
The Deputy Governor, Dr. Ibezim, joined Governor Soludo in canvassing votes for Nwachukwu, as the campaign gathers momentum ahead of the crucial senatorial contest.
