The Ondo State delegation has arrived in Abuja for the 2025 Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Exhibition Fair organised by the Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians.
The programme, which opened on Monday at the Velodrome of the National Stadium, will run till September 27 and is expected to host artisans, entrepreneurs, technicians and other stakeholders from across the country.
Leading the delegation, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Artisan Matters, Hon. Daisi Komolafe, said the state was ready to use the platform to showcase the creativity, innovation and technical skills of its artisans, while also creating opportunities for partnerships, training and wider market access.
“We are here to showcase Ondo State artisans creativity, innovation, and technical expertise,” Komolafe said.
He added that the team would also engage policymakers and industry leaders in Abuja to attract support that could enhance the role of artisans and technicians in Nigeria’s economic development.
According to the organisers, the fair would feature exhibitions, skill demonstrations, cultural displays, workshops and networking activities aimed at promoting technical competence and job creation.
Ondo State’s presence, Komolafe stressed, was another demonstration of the government’s resolve to strengthen vocational skills, create employment opportunities and project artisans and technicians as drivers of national growth.
