EFFURUN, DELTA STATE - The political map of Delta Central is being redrawn as Hon. Henry Baro, The Asiwaju of Delta State, declares for the Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie, OSU, Federal Constituency seat under the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Born of Uvwie soil and baptized by the streets, Baro carries a credibility that cash cannot command. He is a chieftain whose clout is counted in communities, not just in caucuses. Grassroots General. Boardroom Gladiator. People’s Patriot.
THE ASIWAJU’S OATH TO OSU
1. Federal Glory, Not Fables
OSU has long listened to legends of “dividends of democracy” that never docked at its shores. The Asiwaju vows to stop the story and start the structure. From Sapele’s timber corridors to Okpe’s oil fields and Uvwie’s industrial axis, federal glory will be felt, not forged in fiction.
2. No more Games in OSU. No more Shame. Baro’s name is OSU Gain.
The season of political hide-and-seek is over. Baro is OSU Gain — gain in jobs, gain in justice, gain in genuine governance. The Green Chambers will hear a voice that roars for Warri Port, for Sapele Stadium, for Okpe schools, and for Uvwie’s unemployed.
3. Hiring Hearts, Healing Hands
He will hire and engage the youth meaningfully, turning street soldiers into software savants, area boys into artisans, and protest placards into pay cheques. No more human harvest for hoodlums. The Asiwaju farms futures.
4. Humble without Stumble
Power will not poison his purpose. He will walk with the widow, work with the welder, and wait on the will of the weak. Sandals of service, not shoes of swagger.
5. Performance without Compromise
Abuja’s allure will not alter his allegiance. He will perform and not compromise standards — sponsoring bills that build, budgets that bless, and motions that move mountains for OSU. His signature will be on substance, not substandard deals.
6. Smiles for Mothers, Shelter for Seniors
From market women in Main Market Sapele to matriarchs in Jeddo and elders in Orerokpe, he will put smiles on the faces of women and the elderly. Healthcare with heart. Welfare with worth. Empowerment with empathy.
7. Paying the Price for the Prize
The Asiwaju knows the road to the prize is paved with sacrifice. He will pay the price — in sweat, in strategy, in sleepless advocacy — to win the prize_ of potable water, passable roads, and prosperous people for OSU.
WHY BARO, WHY NOW?
Because OSU needs a _bridge to the budget, not a bystander to the bills_. A man who knows the creeks of Okpe and the corridors of power. A negotiator who can navigate Abuja and never neglect his people.
Uvwie gave him roots. The streets gave him spine. The people gave him the name Asiwaju. 2027 must give him the seat.
_Hon. Henry Baro — The Asiwaju of Delta State — is not going to Abuja to count attendance. He is going to make Abuja count for OSU.
No more Game. No more Shame. From OSU to the Nation, Baro’s name is Gain.
