UGHELLI-DELTA STATE - Oharisi Primary School became a cathedral of political communion on Sunday as Senator Ede Dafinone proclaimed his pursuit of a second term. But the pulse of the pavilion quickened when Rev. Anthony Ogugu, Frontline Aspirant for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency 2, 2027, stormed the scene with hundreds of his die-hard disciples in a deluge of devotion.
It was less a guest appearance and more a gospel of grassroots might — banners blazing, drums detonating, and the air thick with the aroma of allegiance.
In a no-holds-barred interview with newsmen, Rev. Ogugu, robed in resolve, declared: “I am here to pay solidarity and support my brother and friend from Delta Central.”
With the fervor of a fiery preacher and the precision of a policy wonk, the Assembly hopeful applauded Senator Dafinone’s development strides across Delta Central, framing his three-year tenure in the Red Chambers as “three seasons of seismic service that have made the Urhobo proud.”
“Dafinone did not stroll into the Senate; he _stormed_ it,” Ogugu thundered. “His motions move ministries. His bills build bridges. His voice validates the Urhobo vision in Abuja.”
Rev. Ogugu equally congratulated the Senator on his appointment as Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Character and Intergovernmental Affairs, branding it “a coronation of competence, a consecration of character.”
“Federal Character has found a faithful custodian,” he said. “Delta’s demands are no longer whispers; they are warrants.”
Pivoting to 2027, the cleric-contender appealed to all supporters across Delta Central and the State at large to continue to support all APC aspirants, while pledging unflinching support for His Excellency Rt. Hon. Elder Dr. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP; President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; and other APC standard-bearers.
“The race is not for the weak but the strong,” Ogugu proclaimed, eyes blazing with belief. “I believe God who has taken us this far will cement and consolidate our various efforts.”
Turning the torchlight on his constituency, he added with solemn swagger: “Ughelli North Constituency 2 deserves more. And I am ready to take the Constituency to enviable heights.”
THE OHARISI ORACLE
Sunday’s spectacle transcended declaration — it was a decree of direction. Rev. Anthony Ogugu proved that politics, when powered by purpose, becomes prophecy.
As dusk draped Ughelli, one doctrine dominated:
_Dafinone for Senate. Oborevwori for Continuity. Tinubu for Nigeria. Ogugu for Assembly. APC for Ascendancy._
Ughelli has endorsed. 2027 will remember.
