Philanthropist and Founder of the Omoviroro 1 Foundation, Ukodo Olorogun Obaro Obrutse, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 elections.
Olorogun Obrutse made the commendation after the conclusion of the APC governorship primary across Delta State, where Governor Oborevwori was declared the party’s flagbearer following a statewide show of support from party members.
In a statement released in Warri, the philanthropist described the outcome as a testament to the governor’s track record of service and his growing acceptance across Delta’s three senatorial districts.
He said the peaceful and orderly conduct of the primary reflected the maturity of the party and the unity of its members behind a shared vision for the state.
“Governor Oborevwori’s emergence as the APC candidate for 2027 is a clear signal that Deltans appreciate steady leadership and tangible results,” Olorogun Obrutse stated.
“Since assuming office, he has demonstrated commitment to infrastructure, youth empowerment, and the welfare of communities across the state. This mandate is a call to continue that work with greater vigor.”
He noted that the governor’s M.O.R.E. Agenda has resonated with grassroots communities, particularly in the areas of road construction, education support, healthcare, and support for small businesses.
According to him, the alignment between government policy and the needs of ordinary Deltans was evident in the turnout and enthusiasm witnessed during the primaries.
Olorogun Obrutse, who is known for his humanitarian work through the Omoviroro 1 Foundation and Ukodo urged all stakeholders in Delta State to put aside political differences and rally behind the governor to consolidate on the gains recorded so far.
“Development does not happen in isolation. It requires collaboration between government, the private sector, traditional institutions, and civil society. I call on all Deltans, regardless of party affiliation, to support this administration’s efforts to build a more prosperous and inclusive Delta,” he said.
He also commended APC leaders at the state and national levels for ensuring a transparent process, adding that internal party cohesion would be crucial as the party prepares for the general elections.
“With Governor Oborevwori leading the APC ticket, I am confident that Delta State will continue to move forward.
My foundation and I remain committed to supporting initiatives that uplift our people and complement government’s developmental efforts,” he added.
