Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Friday accompanied by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, other top government officials, and political leaders attended the funeral service of late Chief Daniel Okoro to bid him final farewell at Oyenke Inland in Okpe Local Government Area of the state.
Drawing his message from Matthew 6:33, the cleric emphasized that believers should make God's kingdom and His righteousness their foremost priority, noting that earthly wealth and achievements are temporary.
Onyenkwere reminded the congregation that death is an inevitable reality and a sober reminder of the brevity of life, stressing the need for everyone to remain spiritually prepared for eternity.
The minister encouraged family members, friends, and sympathizers to take solace in God during their time of grief, assuring them of His comfort and strength in moments of loss.
Special prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Chief Daniel Okoro and for divine comfort, strength, and guidance for the bereaved family as they mourn the passing of their patriarch.
