Ahead of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) Convention, the Council of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) Stakeholders has unanimously endorsed Comr. Akinteye Babatunde, also known as Babtee as its sole candidate for the post of Senate President.
The Council said Babatunde's track records coupled with his unique style of leadership prompted it to throw its full weight behind his aspiration.
Addressing newsmen after the endorsement on Saturday in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the Secretary to the council, Comr. Adekanye Mayomi, said the council believes that the candidacy of Babtee for the next NANS Senate President is for the interest of all.
He said, “the council highlighted the antecedents of Babtee and compared same with other fellow candidates which was inimitable and subsequently led to his endorsement.”
“Furthermore, all AAUAites and Nigerian Students are urged to give Comrade Akinteye Babatunde (Babtee) the full support in ensuring the realization of this mandate. It is believe that Babtee stands for integrity and accountability.”
“Lastly, the Council while making its endorsement public urged all stakeholders in Nigeria to promote peace and protect the integrity of the association in the forthcoming Convention and election, stating that a smooth transition is key to continued governance and quality representation.”
